ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Coro Josefino Guest Chorister Immersion Program is designed to provide a unique and enriching experience for individuals who wish to join the dedicated St. Joseph Spouse of Mary Parish Catholic Choir in Gasan, Marinduque. This program aims to foster musical growth, cultural exchange, and spiritual development through a structured and immersive environment.

This Immersion Program extends an inclusive invitation to Catholic individuals (outside of Gasan parish), both local and international, who aspire to deepen their understanding of church service through choir singing, while immersing themselves in the unique culture and knowledge of Coro Josefino.

It is the earnest aspiration that participants completing this program will not only acquire valuable skills but also carry forth their enriched knowledge to contribute meaningfully to their respective parishes, thereby enhancing and elevating their music ministry.

Upon successful completion of this program, participants will be awarded a certification by Coro Josefino, acknowledging their dedication and conferring the status of Guest Chorister within the group.

DURATION

The immersion program spans six enriching weeks, occurring every Sunday, ensuring participants have ample time to seamlessly integrate into the vibrant life of Coro Josefino and actively engage with the local community.

COMPONENTS

 1. Choral Rehearsals

• Participants will actively engage in Coro Josefino's regular rehearsals, led by the choirmaster and experienced members.

• Focus on learning and performing the unique repertoire of Coro Josefino, including traditional and contemporary pieces.

2. Vocal Training and Workshops

• Scheduled vocal training sessions to enhance participants' singing techniques and overall vocal abilities.

• Workshops on choral sound techniques led by the choirmaster and choir members.

3. Cultural Exchange

• Introduction to liturgical music and culture through workshops, lectures, and hands-on activities.

4. Spiritual Engagement

• Participation in liturgical events and special Mass celebrations in St. Joseph Spouse of Mary Parish.

• Opportunities for personal reflection and spiritual growth.

5. Homestay Experience

• Participate wholeheartedly in the shared experiences and routine activities of Coro Josefino members, fostering a sense of camaraderie and deeper connection within the choir community.

6. Final Performance

• A culminating event awaits the guest chorister/s, featuring a distinguished presentation in collaboration with the dedicated members of Coro Josefino, marking the pinnacle of their shared musical journey.

COST

Participation in this program is complimentary. However, applicants are responsible for covering any personal expenses, including transportation fees and meals, associated with their involvement in the immersion experience.
